Popular Nigerian pastor and evangelist, Ebuka Obi, has stated that it is wrong for a man to buy his wife a car if he hasn’t bought one for his mother.
The clergyman shared this opinion during a ministration session with his congregation, where he emphasized that a man who prioritizes buying a car for his wife over his mother is, in his words, “nothing short of a fool at 40.”
Pastor Ebuka explained that before he could consider spending money on a car for his wife, his conscience would remind him of the sacrifices his mother made while raising him, long before he met his wife.
He further stressed that mothers are more willing to sacrifice themselves for their children’s well-being compared to the sacrifices a wife might make for her husband.
