“There’s Nothing Wrong If Producers Have S£x With Actresses To Give Them Movie Roles Because” – Bukky Ogunnote (Video)

Veteran Yoruba movie actress Bukky Ogunnote has stirred controversy with her comments regarding the practice of producers demanding relationships from actresses in exchange for movie roles. In a video interview with Oyinmomo TV, Ogunnote shared her perspective on this long-standing issue within the Nigerian movie industry.

Ogunnote claimed that it is not a significant issue for producers to request relationships from actresses, provided there is mutual understanding between both parties. She further argued that this practice is not exclusive to the movie industry, noting that it occurs in other sectors, such as banking and education.

“There is no sector in Nigeria where co-workers don’t date each other, but because we are actors, people get to know about what we do so quickly,” Ogunnote said.

The actress also clarified that while she has never personally experienced such demands from producers, she acknowledges that it is a reality in the industry.

“Since I have been in the movie industry, no movie producer has ever asked me for a relationship before giving me a role, but it’s something that truly exists,” she explained.

Ogunnote went on to express her belief that there is nothing inherently wrong with producers engaging in consensual sexual relationships with actresses in exchange for roles, as long as both parties are adults and agree to the arrangement.

“There is nothing wrong if producers have sex with actresses to give them movie roles,” she stated. “If there is a mutual agreement between the two of them, then, as adults, they know what they want and are free to do it without letting people know about it.”
