After Eight Years as President, I Can Only Get Money for Feeding From Rent Paid for My House – Buhari

Former President Muhammadu Buhari disclosed that his primary source of income for feeding comes from the rent paid for one of his houses. He made this revelation during an All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus meeting held at the Presidential Banquet Hall in Katsina State.

The meeting provided Buhari an opportunity to reflect on his time in office. He acknowledged the complexities of leading a nation as diverse as Nigeria, with its numerous ethnic groups and challenges, but expressed optimism about the country’s future under its current leadership.

Speaking about his financial situation, Buhari emphasized that he did not enrich himself during his tenure, maintaining that transparency and accountability guided his administration.

He explained that he owns three houses: one in Daura, his hometown in Katsina State, and two in Kaduna. According to Buhari, one of the Kaduna properties is rented out, and the income from it helps him cover his living expenses.

“After my eight years as a civil president, I have only three houses: one in Daura and two in Kaduna. I have given one out for renting, where I can only get money for feeding,” he stated.
