In a statement posted on his official X handle, Paul Ibe, the media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has launched a verbal assault on former special assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, calling into question his integrity, loyalty, and moral standing.Reacting to recent comments made by the former presidential aide, Ibe accused Omokri of transactional loyalty and hypocrisy, likening his political manoeuvres to that of a “hyena sniffing out its next meal” and ridiculing his self-styled pastoral image.
The words of Ibe as regarding the columnist, adventure traveller, and social media influencer read, “you claim my principal has been ‘good’ to you? let’s not pretend. That phone call you trumpet was likely just another pit stop in your never-ending pilgrimage for personal ‘goodness’.
On the kind of goodness that Omokri exudes, he stated that “your kind of goodness isn’t ethical — it’s transactional, scavenging like a hyena sniffing out its next meal.”
Commenting on what Mr Omokri once said, Ibe stated that, “you also said you never attack your friends unless they strike first.” Really? Then what did Peter Obi ever do to deserve your endless, pedestrian, vitriolic, and acerbic attacks? Or was his popularity simply a threat to your ego?”
