Chelsea striker Liam Delap has reportedly ended his relationship with Scottish social media influencer Leanna Paul, as the Blues push forward in the FIFA Club World Cup.
According to entertainment outlet Glam, Set & Match, the couple’s one-year relationship came to a halt while Delap, 22, was away on international duty with Chelsea in the United States. Paul, 25, who boasts over 500,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, shared a cryptic post shortly after news of the split broke.
“You can’t keep someone loyal by loving them harder,” she posted in an Instagram story, sparking speculation among fans.
Insiders claim that Paul ended the relationship after being presented with alleged evidence of Delap’s involvement with another woman. Prior to this, she had reportedly dismissed earlier cheating allegations due to lack of proof.
Liam Delap, who joined Chelsea in a £30 million move from Ipswich Town earlier this summer, was handed the number 9 shirt and has already begun to make his mark under new manager Enzo Maresca.
The England youth international scored his first goal for the club in a 3–0 win over Esperance Tunis and has featured in five matches during the Club World Cup campaign.
Despite the off-field drama, Liam Delap remains a strong contender for Chelsea’s lead striker position ahead of the Premier League season opener against Crystal Palace on August 17.
Chelsea are set to face Fluminense in the semi-final of the Club World Cup on Tuesday, with the winner moving on to the final on Sunday against either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid.
