Anambra APC coasting home to victory – Party spokesperson, Madukaife

According to our reporter, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State says it is confident of victory in the upcoming November 8, 2025 governorship election.

Speaking in an interview, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Okelo Madukaife, declared that the APC is “coasting home to victory” with its candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, gaining massive support across the state.

Madukaife dismissed reports of endorsements for the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), describing them as “mere propaganda.” He accused the ruling party of using local government funds to finance its campaign, adding that the so-called community donations were “a badly executed home movie.”

The APC spokesperson maintained that after 20 years of APGA rule, the people of Anambra are ready for change. He also dismissed claims that his party’s candidate lacks support from national APC leaders, calling it “another APGA lie.”

On allegations that their candidate and running mate are unqualified, Madukaife waved them aside as “empty propaganda,” insisting that both men are fully qualified.

He further criticized the state government for imposing what he called “excessive campaign fees,” saying, “We have paid, and we are still winning. APGA is a failed government, and the people of Anambra know it.”

With just weeks to the polls, tensions are rising — but the APC insists that the November 8 election will mark the end of APGA’s 20-year dominance in Anambra politics.
