According to our report, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara was recently seen with Imo State First Lady, Chioma Uzodimma, during a solemn Service of Songs held in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
The event, which took place at the Ecumenical Center along Abonnema Wharf Road, was organized in honor of the late Pa Monday Perekeme Sinclair, a respected sports mentor who trained several footballers that went on to represent Nigeria at the national level.
Photos shared on Governor Fubara’s official Facebook page captured warm moments between the Rivers governor and Mrs. Uzodimma as they joined family members, friends, and sports enthusiasts to pay tribute to the late icon.
In his post, Fubara praised Pa Sinclair as “a highly esteemed mentor who shaped the careers of many Nigerian footballers”, while extending condolences to his loved ones.
Meanwhile, earlier that same day, the governor also met with officials from the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to discuss plans for youth and women empowerment in the state. The meeting, led by NDE Director-General Hon. Silas Ali Agara, focused on new strategies for job creation, skill acquisition, and entrepreneurship support.
Governor Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to partner with the NDE, noting that empowering citizens through sustainable jobs is central to his economic growth and human-capital development agenda.
