If He Doesn’t Free Kanu, He Can Forget Votes Of People Of Southeast, Unless He Has Other Plan-Ejimakor

According to our report, Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has issued a stark warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over Kanu’s continued detention. Speaking on SYMFONI TV, Ejimakor said the political support of the Southeast in upcoming elections hinges on how the federal government handles the case.

Ejimakor argued that if Kanu is not released, Tinubu should not expect votes from the Southeast, suggesting that the prolonged detention has deepened feelings of marginalization and political alienation in the region. He described the government’s inaction as a troubling display of indifference toward court rulings that have ordered Kanu’s release, raising concerns about respect for the rule of law.

He further called on the president to pursue dialogue and reconciliation, noting that releasing Kanu would be a crucial step in restoring trust and peace in the Southeast. Ejimakor also urged Southeast political leaders to unite in demanding justice, warning that silence at this critical moment could be interpreted as betrayal of their constituents.

The lawyer highlighted the potential political consequences for the ruling APC if Kanu remains detained, emphasizing that how the federal government responds will shape regional political dynamics and public perception of the Tinubu administration nationwide.
