Wherever Muslims Are Killed, It Doesn’t Concern The West Or The United State – Abdul Rahman

According to our report, the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN), Kaduna State Chapter, has criticized the U.S. decision to label Nigeria as a “Country of Great Concern” over alleged persecution of Christians, calling it biased and misleading.

Engineer Hassan Abdul Rahman, the council’s secretary, said the classification ignores the root causes of Nigeria’s insecurity, which stem from poverty, unemployment, ethnic tensions, and political grievances, affecting citizens of all faiths. He stressed that framing violence as religiously driven distorts reality and risks deepening divisions.

Abdul Rahman further accused Western nations of selective concern, noting that “wherever Muslims are killed, it doesn’t concern the West or the U.S.” He urged local and international actors to address Nigeria’s challenges fairly, emphasizing unity and cooperation across all religious and ethnic groups.
