Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, has urged Christians to rise above online negativity. Speaking at the church’s Recovery Conference in Benin City, Suleman revealed he personally trains himself to ignore insults and hateful comments on social media, calling them “a waste of data.”
“If you call me names, I won’t see it. You abuse me, I won’t see it, because I’m not looking for it,” he said.
He advised believers to avoid content that drains spiritual energy, warning that constant exposure to negativity can weaken faith. “Faith comes by hearing the word of God, but fear and doubt also come by hearing the wrong things,” he noted.
Suleman emphasized focusing on God’s promises, not public opinion, urging Christians to guard their peace, protect their hearts, and refuse to engage online trolls.
