According to our report, Nigerian troops under Operation Hadin Kai have achieved a major victory in Borno State, rescuing 86 kidnapped victims and arresting 29 suspects accused of supplying food and fuel to terrorists.

Acting on credible intelligence, soldiers from the 135 Special Forces Battalion stormed Dutse Kura, where Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters had been abducting travellers. After a fierce gun battle, the terrorists fled, abandoning 11 makeshift camps that were later destroyed.

The troops freed men, women, and children and recovered weapons, vehicles, motorcycles, and ammunition. In a separate raid at Mangada, 29 logistic suppliers were intercepted with over 1,000 litres of petrol, truck tyres, medical items, and foodstuffs meant for insurgents.

Military authorities hailed the operation as a bold success, commending the troops for their bravery and urging them to maintain relentless pressure against terrorism in the North East.
