According to our report, former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has called on Nigerians and other Africans affected by recent mass U.S. visa cancellations to return home promptly to avoid potential detention by ICE.
Posting on his X handle, Sani warned that those impacted by the executive order issued under former President Donald Trump should act quickly to prevent legal complications or deportation. He emphasized that foreign countries, no matter how welcoming, can never replace one’s homeland.
“No matter how long you live in the comfort of your adopted home, you will someday be reminded that it’s not your father’s house,” he wrote, urging Africans to reflect on their roots.
Sani’s message highlights the uncertainty facing African immigrants abroad and encourages them to return home, contribute to national development, and not rely solely on foreign lands for security or livelihood.
