Two individuals have been confirmed deceased, while six others have suffered varying degrees of injuries in a tragic accident that took place at Kwasu, along the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region.
The incident transpired at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, when a Toyota Voxy with the registration number AS 6403-25 reportedly lost control and crashed.
Personnel from the Bechem Fire Station responded promptly to a distress call and arrived at the scene to assist the victims. The rescue team, under the leadership of ASTNO Kwaku Doe, collaborated with the National Ambulance Service and the Police to retrieve the victims and clear the debris.
The Toyota Voxy was extensively damaged, which complicated the rescue efforts. Emergency responders had to employ specialised tools to extricate some of the trapped victims.
As reported by the Ghana National Fire Service, two of the eight occupants were declared dead at the scene. The remaining six victims, who sustained injuries, were swiftly transported to the Bechem Government Hospital for medical care.
