Popular social media critic Daniel Regha has stirred online reactions after he openly criticized Wizkid’s son, Tife Balogun, over his debut EP titled “Champion’s Arrival.”
In a detailed post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Regha expressed strong disapproval of the young star’s musical project, advising him to prioritize education over music at this early stage of his life.
According to Daniel Regha:
“Wizkid’s son (Tife Balogun) should stay in school, participate in school-related activities like quiz, or focus on something he’s passionate about, because that debut EP is a big no.” He argued that while music standards have declined in recent times, Tife’s EP still falls “below today’s standard even for a teen.”
Regha went on to question Tife’s artistic direction, asking “which genre does he belong to, is he an aspiring singer or rapper?”
He admitted that while the beats on the project were “decent enough,” the vocals were “a bit mumblish,” and criticized the lyrical content, claiming that “for a child who has no real-life experience, it’s way too early to be talking about haters, material things, being stressed, and other adult problems.”
The outspoken critic further described the project as lacking creativity and originality, saying “there’s no originality or creativity shown” and that the EP “will only get hyped based on the fact that he’s Wizkid’s son and stanship.”
Regha concluded his review by rating the project “1/10 based on beats only,” and advised that “his team should’ve advised him to keep that in the vault, or help him with good songwriters.”
The viral critique has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that Tife Balogun, the son of Grammy-winning singer Wizkid, is too young to handle the pressures of the music industry, while others believe Daniel Regha’s comments were unnecessarily harsh on the budding artist.
