Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Plateau State, has given a harrowing account of a recent insurgent attack in Dogo Na-Hauwa village, Jos, which left several residents dead.
In an interview with News Central TV, Dachomo recounted meeting a woman who narrowly escaped death with her child. According to him, the woman described how insurgents entered the village at night, shouting “Allahu Akbar” as they carried out the attack.
“She told me she hid quietly with her child and saw one of the insurgents behead a Christian victim and then lick the victim’s blood,” Dachomo said. He added that the woman was shivering with fear as she watched the brutal scene unfold.
Dachomo emphasized the need for urgent attention to insecurity in Plateau and other parts of northern Nigeria, calling for strengthened protection of vulnerable communities and immediate action to prevent further atrocities.
