Dr. Moses Paul, Secretary General of the Obedient Movement and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairmanship candidate for the 2026 FCT Area Council election, has defended the movement’s direction and praised former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi for his leadership.
In a recent interview with Arise News, Paul addressed claims of internal disagreements and resignations within the movement, insisting that the group remains a powerful national force. He emphasized that millions of Nigerians continue to support the movement’s mission for good governance, accountability, and a new political culture.
Speaking on Peter Obi’s role, Paul said, “Peter Obi does not only provide direction and leadership; he exemplifies these nuances, these values.” He highlighted Obi’s consistency, character, and compassion, noting that the former governor inspires young Nigerians who see him as a symbol of transparency and efficient governance.
Paul acknowledged that structural challenges and internal debates are natural in a dynamic organization but stressed that these issues do not weaken the movement’s core ideals or momentum. He urged supporters to stay focused on institution-building, collaboration, and unity as the country approaches the 2027 general election.
