Prophet Primate Elijah Ayodele has issued a new warning about looming economic and political challenges for Africa, predicting a major decline in the value of the U.S. dollar and widespread financial instability across the continent.
In a video shared on Facebook, Ayodele stated, “The dollar will be very weak. Some countries will not even spend dollar again. The time is coming.” He urged listeners to take the prophecy seriously, noting that global financial structures are preparing for sudden change.
According to Ayodele, this shift will coincide with multiple crises affecting African nations. He specifically called on ECOWAS to intervene proactively, warning that “if ECOWAS does not see to this, it will escalate beyond necessary.” He cautioned that without decisive action, many countries could face severe debt and economic vulnerability, creating opportunities for powerful nations to exploit Africa’s resources.
The cleric emphasized that this potential exploitation may not resemble colonial-era oppression but could be equally dangerous. “If Africa does not stand firm, Africa will be enslaved again—not direct now, indirect,” he stated, urging governments to strengthen institutions and safeguard sovereignty.
Ayodele concluded that many of the continent’s current and future challenges stem from leadership failures. He called on African leaders to take responsibility and act decisively to protect their nations from financial and political destabilization.
