“ISWAP Commander Who Killed Brig Musa Said If An Ant Is Entering Sambisa, They Can See It–Galadima

Buba Galadima, a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has criticized the Federal Government for neglecting national security, warning that the escalating wave of attacks and kidnappings highlights a failure by leaders to uphold their constitutional duty to protect Nigerians, Daily Post reports on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Speaking in a television interview on Monday, Galadima said the surge in violence, particularly the mass abductions across northern states, reflects a leadership more focused on political maneuvering than on addressing urgent security threats. He added that the persistence of kidnappings, banditry, and deadly attacks underscores the lack of seriousness among officials tasked with safeguarding the nation.

According to Galadima, communities in the North now live in fear due to repeated assaults that are seldom prevented and often poorly managed. He argued that the spread of criminal activity in both rural and urban areas points to a breakdown in intelligence gathering and operational responses, leaving citizens vulnerable.

He specifically cited the recent kidnappings in Niger State as a clear indicator of the weakening security structure. Galadima also raised concerns over the growing disconnect between government officials and the daily realities faced by Nigerians, noting that leaders appear more invested in political campaigns, internal party disputes, and personal ambitions than in tackling insecurity.

Highlighting the sophistication of criminal groups, he recounted a video in which a senior militant reportedly described the detailed surveillance capabilities of insurgents in areas like Sambisa, suggesting that these groups have comprehensive knowledge of movements and strategic locations. Galadima said such revelations demonstrate the severity of the threat and the urgent need for the government to reassess its strategy.

He warned that insecurity now affects nearly every aspect of daily life, including schooling, farming, transportation, and local commerce, and urged authorities to restore public confidence through tangible and effective measures.

Galadima concluded by insisting that the Federal Government must refocus on protecting lives and property, emphasizing that this remains its foremost constitutional responsibility. He stated: “An ISWAP commander who killed Brigadier General Musa told a journalist he had the picture of the whole of Sambisa if an ant is entering Sambisa, they can see it.”
