Christian leader and public commentator, Prophet Isa El-Buba, has raised concerns over Nigeria’s worsening security situation, urging President Bola Tinubu to strengthen international cooperation to address the challenges. His remarks follow a nationwide tour across all 37 states, including the FCT, which he described as an eye-opening assessment of the country’s current condition.
Speaking in a Channels TV interview, El-Buba said his travels revealed deep security and humanitarian issues affecting many communities, particularly in the northern region. “Mr. President, the north is bleeding,” he noted, adding that his journey by road across the country showed how widespread hardship has become.
He repeatedly emphasized that citizens are experiencing significant distress, calling for urgent intervention from both government and global partners. El-Buba suggested that Nigeria could benefit from strategic collaboration with nations experienced in counter‑terrorism, saying such partnerships would support ongoing efforts to stabilize affected regions.
The commentator also expressed concern about alleged plots by unnamed groups seeking to create unrest for political advantage. He urged security agencies to remain vigilant and take proactive steps to safeguard national stability.
