Pastor W.F. Kumuyi has offered fresh insight into why many people across the world continue to struggle, explaining that human suffering is deeply connected to the sinful and fallen condition of society. His message, shared during a recent YouTube sermon, has sparked reflection among many Christians.
In his teaching, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry noted that although suffering is sometimes linked to individual actions, a large part of it stems from the natural consequences of living in a world shaped by sin. He explained that Scripture’s declaration that “all have sinned” highlights the reality of a world where hardship, emotional pain and setbacks often arise.
Pastor Kumuyi added that even people who strive to live righteously still face difficulties because they exist within a broader environment affected by imperfection. According to him, institutions like prisons and hospitals reveal humanity’s struggle with wrongdoing and sickness—conditions that will not exist in heaven because sin has no place there.
Despite these realities, he encouraged believers to actively reflect Christ’s compassion by reaching out to those in pain. He said Christians carry a message capable of bringing healing, comfort and spiritual direction to troubled lives. Even when some believers still face the consequences of their past mistakes, he emphasized that Christ remains a source of restoration and strength.
Pastor Kumuyi concluded by urging the church to remain a channel of hope, guiding people toward forgiveness and transformation through the gospel.
