Adamawa: Despite No One Being Abducted Or Killed, The Bandits Burned Three Houses – Bakatsine

Residents of a community in Kalgo Ward, Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Sokoto State, were left shaken after armed bandits carried out a night raid that destroyed several properties, though thankfully no one was abducted or killed.

Security analyst Bakatsine, who has been monitoring northern Nigeria’s insecurity trends, shared the incident on X, reporting that the attackers moved through the community targeting specific homes and a shop before departing without confrontation.

According to Bakatsine, three houses were set ablaze during the raid, including the home of prominent cleric Malam Ila and the residence of the village head. A local shop was also looted and burned. Residents described seeing flames lighting up parts of the neighborhood through the night, prompting many to observe from a distance for safety.

The attack caused emotional distress among villagers, particularly as those affected hold important roles in the community. By morning, locals had gathered near the damaged structures to assess the losses and support the victims.

This latest incident has reignited concerns over insecurity in Sabon Birni LGA, an area that has experienced similar attacks in recent times.
