Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has reassured the parents of schoolchildren abducted in Niger State that the government is working tirelessly to secure their safe return. He highlighted the intense efforts of security agencies operating day and night to combat kidnappings and violent attacks across the country.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Ribadu explained that while authorities cannot disclose every operational detail, much is being done behind the scenes. He emphasised the sacrifices of security personnel, noting that many work without sleep under high-pressure conditions to protect citizens.
“Many of us don’t even sleep, we are going through the worst moments of our lives, many of our people are also killed every single day. We buried our best, those who sacrificed their lives for all of us,” Ribadu said, describing the ongoing insecurity as deeply painful for both families and security operatives.
He further noted that recent incidents have prompted the government to strengthen strategies and enhance coordination among security agencies. Ribadu assured that those responsible for attacks will be brought to justice and that the nation remains committed to restoring peace.
