“If Care Isn’t Taken, The Election May Not Hold As Planned Because Of Insecurity–Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu over rising insecurity in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for urgent action ahead of April 2026.

Speaking on Tuesday, Ayodele cautioned that intelligence indicates coordinated attacks by terrorists targeting prominent figures across multiple regions. He stressed that if swift intervention is not taken, the escalating insecurity could compromise public confidence and disrupt major political activities, including election preparations.

He highlighted that ongoing negotiations with terrorist groups may inadvertently embolden dangerous elements, allowing them to expand their operations. “If care isn’t taken, the election may not hold as planned because of insecurity. If they continue with negotiations, we are still playing with fire,” Ayodele warned.

According to the spiritual leader, the persistent threat affects communities nationwide, posing risks to the movement of candidates, officials, and citizens during campaigns and other political events. He urged the government to implement direct and effective strategies to contain terrorism and restore stability before it becomes unmanageable.

Ayodele’s warning has sparked conversations on national security and the importance of proactive measures to safeguard electoral processes.
