“It Is Dangerous When It Is Allowed To Get Out Of Control” – Dr Daniel Olukoya Warns Against Anger

Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), has cautioned Christians about the destructive power of uncontrolled anger, describing it as more damaging than external spiritual attacks.

In a recent YouTube sermon, Olukoya explained that anger often harms the person exhibiting it more than the intended target. “Anger is like fire. It is dangerous when it is allowed to get out of control,” he said. He added, “If anger is still in your life, if you can still identify yourself as somebody who gets angry and anger becomes a little uncontrollable, then you need to change your ways. Your problem is more than all the witches and wizards in Nigeria put together.”

Olukoya highlighted that uncontrolled anger can blind individuals to solutions and opportunities, trapping them in cycles of conflict and regret. Many believers, he noted, unknowingly sabotage their own lives and spiritual growth because of unchecked temper.

He urged Christians to examine their lives closely, emphasizing that anger is not only a spiritual challenge but also a practical one. “Anger does more havoc to the person who is exhibiting it than the person you are directing it to,” Olukoya explained, encouraging the cultivation of patience, forgiveness, and self-control.

Concluding his message, Olukoya advised that those who fail to manage their anger may face continuous setbacks in personal and spiritual life. He encouraged daily prayer, meditation, and God-centered strategies to overcome destructive tendencies, saying, “Do not allow anger to control you, because it can destroy your peace, relationships, and even your destiny.”
