I Heard Of The Mystery Helicopter & I Dismissed It,Helicopter Can’t Just Come To Our Country—Ejiofor

Former Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mike Ejiofor, has responded to viral social media claims about a helicopter allegedly dropping supplies for bandits in Nigeria, describing the reports as highly improbable.

In an interview with Signature TV, Ejiofor explained that his background in security and law makes him cautious about believing unverified social media content. He said he was among the first to dismiss the story about the “mystery helicopter,” emphasizing the need for clear and credible evidence before accepting such claims.

Ejiofor noted that Nigeria has a controlled airspace and that no helicopter could enter, operate, and deliver items to criminals without detection or interception. “So when I heard that story of mystery helicopter, I was one of the first people to dismiss it because we have airspace; a helicopter cannot just come into our country,” he stated.

He advised Nigerians to exercise caution and critical thinking when encountering sensational videos online, pointing out that some social media content is designed to provoke fear or spread misinformation.
