When Nwagbo Saw Edochie I Don’t Know If She Peed In Her Pant,She Was Shaking When She Saw Iyke—Azodo

Veteran Nollywood actor and producer Ifeanyi Azodo has shared the story of how he convinced actress Ebube Nwagbo to join the film industry and gave her the first role of her career.

Speaking with First Mate Multimedia, Azodo revealed that he initially approached Nwagbo when she had no interest in acting. Despite her initial hesitation, he gave her his contact information. Three hours later, Nwagbo called him, expressing her willingness to take on an acting role.

Azodo recounted that when Nwagbo arrived at the hotel in Onitsha where he and his team were working, she was visibly overwhelmed. She first encountered actor Jim Iyke outside, and Azodo said she was shaking with excitement. He then led her inside, where veteran actor Pete Edochie was already seated. Azodo joked about her reaction, saying he “didn’t know if she peed in her pants” but emphasized that he supported her and gave her the opportunity to perform.

He added that Nwagbo excelled in her role, marking the start of her successful Nollywood career. Azodo’s story highlights both the courage it takes for newcomers to enter the industry and the importance of mentorship from established actors.
