“You Better Wake Up, We Are Not Playing Here” – Bishop David Oyedepo Warns Worshippers Ahead of Shiloh

During his sermon, Oyedepo highlighted that many believers overcomplicate solutions to life’s challenges, while Christ provides simple, yet effective remedies. “Instead of going around town looking for wine for the wedding—put water there!” he said, citing biblical examples where Jesus solved complex problems with straightforward instructions.

The cleric emphasized that Shiloh is a platform for spiritual breakthroughs, but only for those whose hearts are rightly positioned. He warned against attending with wrong motives or an impure conscience, cautioning that such attitudes could lead to frustration or lifelong consequences.

“Please don’t come to Shiloh without expectation. And don’t come with an evil conscience. Don’t come to rob somebody else—you will just pay for it all your life,” Oyedepo said. He reminded worshippers that Christ has already borne every trouble, past, present, and future, and there is no need to look for others to carry their burdens.

In a strong closing charge, the bishop declared: “You better wake up. We are not playing here. It’s time.” He urged participants to come as “holy children of God seeking an encounter that will change their story forever.” Bishop Oyedepo’s Key Messages to Nigerian Christians
