Upcoming blogger Miss Natural, a close friend of Nigerian filmmaker Stanley Ontop, has accused actress Queeneth Hilbert of allegedly using the police to harass the filmmaker following his reported arrest in Asaba.
Reports circulating online earlier indicated that Stanley Ontop was arrested and detained by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) in Delta State. While the reasons for his detention remain unclear, Miss Natural has publicly questioned the conduct of both Queeneth Hilbert and the authorities in relation to the incident.
In a detailed post on social media, the blogger called out Queeneth for allegedly leveraging police authority instead of seeking legal redress through the courts. She asked why Hilbert had not filed a lawsuit against Stanley and instead appeared to use the police to intimidate him.
“Free @stanleyontop_news @queenethhilbert y’all should stop using police to harass people. Dear @queenethhilbert, how about going to court instead of using the police to intimidate?? @delta_state_police Why is Stanley in detention??? Whoever has a case should go to court, Abi??? Or is defamation not for the court again???” she questioned.
Miss Natural also addressed a previous exchange between Stanley and Queeneth Hilbert, claiming that the actress had labeled Stanley as a g@y, prompting him to respond. The blogger criticized Hilbert for allegedly allowing him to remain in detention, suggesting that the act was to satisfy her ego rather than serve justice.
“She called him a g@y, and he responded ‼️ Abi na bcos na woman come complain??? How about releasing him on bail, then charging him in court?? Why must he sleep in detention just to probably satisfy the ego of your customer, sorry, complainant? Nigeria is damn crooked and stressful ‼️ Pls @queenethhilbert @delta_state_police free Stanley Ontop, there’s already enough going on in the country. Hian…no na,” she wrote.
This incident is not the first time Queeneth Hilbert has been involved in a public dispute. Earlier this year, she accused actress Destiny of interfering in the romantic affairs of her colleagues, claiming that Destiny “snatched” one of her exes from Benin who was driving a Benz. Destiny responded by filing a ₦100 million defamation lawsuit against Queeneth, demanding that she retract her statements across all social media platforms.
In turn, Queeneth filed an application seeking enforcement of her fundamental rights, insisting that any disputes should be addressed in court. She shared a screenshot of the application on Instagram, telling Destiny to “see her in court,” signaling her intent to fight the claims legally rather than through public arguments.
The current controversy surrounding Stanley Ontop’s detention highlights ongoing tensions among public figures in Nigeria, particularly when disputes spill over into legal and law enforcement channels. Observers have noted that while social media amplifies such conflicts, it can also complicate resolutions by introducing public pressure into legal proceedings.
As of now, there has been no official statement from Queeneth Hilbert regarding Stanley Ontop’s detention, and the Delta State Police have not clarified the grounds for his arrest. Supporters of the filmmaker are calling for his release and a resolution of the matter through proper legal channels rather than continued detention.
Miss Natural’s intervention underscores the growing concern over how public figures navigate disputes and the role social media plays in escalating conflicts, particularly when allegations of defamation and harassment are involved.
