A heartbreaking video of a young woman appealing for help has surfaced online, drawing widespread concern.
In the clip, the woman explains that she is a sickle cell patient who fell seriously ill at the end of November. According to her, she struggled for days to raise money for treatment but eventually collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.
She says she has now spent nearly two weeks on admission, yet her treatment has been paused because she cannot afford the required medications and medical supplies.
According to her account, the hospital has informed her that she will be discharged by morning—not because she is recovering, but because she cannot pay.
The woman also revealed she already has a leg ulcer and can barely walk. She says her other leg has stiffened due to complications, leaving her unable to move around or even seek help physically.
