A woman who was allegedly m8rdered by her husband in Bayawa town, Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State has been laid to rest.
LIB reported that Umaima Maidawa was allegedly k!lled by husband Sule Gurmu on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 during a domestic dispute.
Following the completion of medical examinations and security investigations, the Executive Chairman of Augie Local Government Area, Hon. Yahaya Muhammad Augie, led the Janā’iza (funeral prayer) for the late Umaima.
The funeral prayer was conducted in Bayawa in accordance with Islamic rites, with Hon. Yahaya Muhammad Augie personally in attendance alongside councilors of the local government, members of the Chairman’s delegation, community leaders, religious scholars, and residents of the area.
