Iran police commander pleads with Israeli agent to ‘come help us’ in leaked call

A senior Iranian police commander recently begged an agent of Israel’s renowned Mossad intelligence for help to overthrow the Islamic Republic in Iran, according to the contents of a leaked phone call.

The call, reported by the Wall Street Journal Wednesday, March 18, was one of several calls placed by Israeli intelligence threatening Iranian security officials and their families by name if they did not stand aside in the event of a popular uprising to overthrow the mullahs.

“We know everything about you. You are on our blacklist, and we have all the information about you,” the Mossad agent told the police commander in Farsi. “I called to warn you in advance that you should stand with your people’s side. And if you will not do that, your destiny will be as your leader [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei]. Do you hear me?”

“Brother, I swear on the Koran, I’m not your enemy,” the commander responded. “I’m a de@d man already. Just please come help us.”

The US and Israel have sought to create the conditions for the Iranian people to take down the theocratic regime by systematically striking its military infrastructure and targeting top political leaders for ass@ssination, respectively, since Feb. 28.

According to the Journal, Israel says it has dropped 10,000 munitions on various targets, including more than 2,200 related to the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Basij paramilitary and other internal security forces. Thousands of Iranians are believed to have been k!lled or wounded, though a precise count has not been made available.

According to the Journal, the US has largely focused on Iran’s military and industrial base, while Israel has targeted regime personnel, from Khamenei himself to local police officials.

By the end of the war’s first week on March 6, Israeli strikes had k!lled hundreds of Iranian military and security service members who had gathered at sports complexes meant to be used as fallback facilities in the event their main headquarters were destroyed.

The scope of those attacks has driven some security forces to take up sleeping in their cars or inside mosques, the Journal reported.

In recent days, Israel has shifted its aerial strategy to pinpoint drone attacks targeting Basij roadblocks and other positions in Tehran and other cities around Iran — guided by tips from civilians.

On May 13, the Mossad’s Farsi-language X account tweeted a terse message to Iranians: “Avoid Basij gatherings. All of them, whether in the streets or in their homes, are potential targets.”

Three days later, the account claimed: “Your final battle will begin soon. We are with you in the sky on earth and in our hearts.”
