Donald Trump has verbally attacked Bruce Springsteen, claiming he “looks like a dried up prune”.
The US president, 79, shared a scathing post to Truth Social today, April 2, which came the day after the singer, 76, shared a stirring statement on stage during the opening night of his E Street Band’s Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour in Minneapolis.
During his speech, Springsteen declared: “While working Americans struggle, our president and his family enrich themselves by billions of dollars trading on the people’s office in corruption unmatched in American history. This is happening now.”
“This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world,” he added.
Clearly angered by the singer’s words, Trump has now attempted to clap back, writing on his social media platform: “Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS.
“The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America.
“Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the ‘hottest’ Country, by far, anywhere in the World. MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. AMERICA IS BACK!!! President DJT.”

In recent years the singer has been a vocal opponent of Trump, last year labelling his administration “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous”.
The next day, the President wrote on Truth Social: “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy – just a pushy, obnoxious JERK.”
Later that same month, Trump posted an AI-generated video of him hitting the Grammy award winner with a golf ball.
Earlier this week Springsteen launched a tour in Minneapolis in honour of the city’s protests against Trump’s immigration crackdown.
“The power and the solidarity of the people of Minneapolis, of Minnesota, was an inspiration to the entire country,’ he told a crowd of ‘No Kings’ protestors a few days ago.
“Your strength and your commitment told us that this is still America, and this reactionary nightmare, and these invasions of American cities will not stand.”
