A confrontation between two men over a woman reportedly turned d3adly when one k!lled the other in Akwa Ibom.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in Afaha Nsit II community, in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of the state.
A teacher and media practitioner, Godwin Udoma, shared details about the incident in a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
According to him, the suspect found the victim having an intimate moment with the lady, leading to a violent altercation.
“A Life Lost Over Jealousy: A tragic incident has been reported in Afaha Nsit II community, in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, where a young man allegedly lost his life at the hands of another man over a dispute involving a woman,” he wrote.
“According to reports, the confrontation arose after the victim was seen in an intimate moment with the lady, which sparked jealousy and led to a violent altercation.
“Sadly, what should have been a moment of emotional restraint turned into a fatal moment.
“It is both shocking and heartbreaking that a life was cut short over an issue that could have been resolved peacefully.
“This unfortunate event serves as a painful reminder of the dangers of uncontrolled anger and the need for maturity in handling relationship conflicts.
“Indeed, it is difficult to comprehend how something so avoidable could lead to such a devastating outcome.”
