Nicholas Julius Macharia, also known as Beba Beba, has been taken into police custody on suspicion of murdering and burying young Tamara, who had been reported missing.
Following the arrest, the mom of the deceased girl finally revealed what the killer told her after he killed Tamara.
According to the mum, the suspect had visited her and innocently asked if the missing girl had been found.
He was even among the residents who were busy searching for the girl.
The last sighting of the young girl was at the Open Air Market stage in Nyeri Town, where she was dressed in a brown sweater and maroon trousers.
She was later found buried inside Nicholas’s house after police searched his house.
The sudden disappearance of the girl caused significant concern about children’s safety in the community.
The residents are now demanding justice for the girl now that the suspect has so far been arrested.
