Ismail Aziz, a man from Tanzania, has an astonishing story: he woke up six times at his own funeral. As a result, his family, friends, and neighbors have shunned him, believing he is a ghost.
In a revealing interview with Afrimax, Ismail recounted the series of life-threatening incidents he endured. Initially, he was involved in a severe accident that left him in critical condition. A few hours after arriving at the hospital, the doctor declared him dead, prompting his family to immediately start making funeral arrangements.
The next day, when they went to retrieve his body, Ismail astonished everyone by waking up as he was being placed in the casket. In another harrowing episode, he contracted malaria and was hospitalized, only to be pronounced dead a few days later. As per routine, burial preparations commenced, and on the day of the funeral, he once again awoke just as his body was being lowered into the grave. The attendees were so shocked that they dropped the casket and fled.
Ismail sustained injuries during this incident but was pronounced dead yet again. However, he defied all odds and woke up once more during the burial preparations. His relatives and friends insisted he was a ghost, leading to widespread avoidance from the community. To escape their judgment, he chose to live in isolation deep in the village.
In a twist of fate, he was bitten by a snake while in solitude. When he reached the hospital, the poison had spread throughout his body. The doctors warned that he might not survive, and he slipped into a coma. Remarkably, he woke up again when his family arrived to identify his body in the morgue
In a fifth extraordinary incident, he was involved in another accident but managed to wake up once again. The sixth occurrence happened when his neighbors set his house on fire while he was asleep. Despite enduring such traumatic experiences, including lasting scars, Ismail has been forced to live in seclusion, as no one in the village wants to associate with him.
