In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Pat Utomi, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has spoken about his connection to different parts of Nigeria and the country’s vast economic potential.
Utomi reflected on his personal background and experiences across several regions of the country, saying they have given him a deep understanding of Nigeria’s diversity and opportunities. His remarks come amid ongoing conversations about national unity, inclusion, and economic development.
According to him, “As I say often with pride, I was born in Kaduna, baptized in Jos, spent part of my infancy in Maiduguri, started school in Kano, and finished my primary education in Guzo before coming to Onitsha. I know Nigeria, and I know that every part of Nigeria is endowed enough to be a wellspring of wealth for everybody. I keep saying that I can go to any state in Nigeria and have a personal friend in whose house I can sleep because many people have not done this for themselves.”
He explained that his life journey across different communities has shaped his belief that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity. Utomi noted that every state has resources and talents that can contribute meaningfully to national prosperity when properly developed.
