Former presidential aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari. Bashir Ahmad has stirred political debate online after reacting to speculations surrounding a possible alliance involving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the proposed ADC coalition.
In a post shared on X on May 4, 2026, Bashir questioned whether key opposition figures like Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso would remain in the NDC if Atiku decides to join and contest for the presidential ticket.
“So what if Atiku Abubakar decides to join the NDC? Peter Obi and Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso will simply pack their bags and look for another party because they cannot stand against him in a primary contest?” he wrote.
