Pastor Speaks After Being Accused Of Impregnating a Church Member

A pastor in Nairobi is facing serious allegations after being accused of defiling a 15-year-old girl who was under his pastoral care.

According to reports, the girl, whose name has been withheld due to her age, is said to be four months pregnant.

The incident has sparked outrage among residents and child rights activists in the area.

The suspect, identified as Ejoi Anthony Omale, is alleged to have committed the offense on January 3, 2026, at Spring Valley area in Njiru Sub-County.

According to the charge sheet presented in court, Omale unlawfully and intentionally defiled the minor while she was entrusted to him for spiritual guidance.

The matter came to light after the victim’s family reported the incident to the police. Officers from Njiru Police Station moved swiftly and arrested the suspect.

He was later arraigned before a Nairobi court where he was formally charged.

Appearing before the court, Omale denied the charges and claimed that he was framed. He pleaded not guilty to the count of defilement contrary to Section 8(1) and 8(3) of the Sexual Offences Act.

The prosecution has opposed his release on bail, citing the seriousness of the offense and the need to protect the minor.

The court directed that the victim undergo a medical examination, and the case will be mentioned later this month for further directions.

Child protection officers are currently offering counseling and support to the girl and her family.
