A Lagos-based business owner, Ifeoluwa Olorunmaye, has alleged that she began receiving threatening messages from her ex-boyfriend shortly after their relationship ended, including disturbing warnings that she should “prepare for death.”
In a video shared by Punch Newspapers, Olorunmaye recounted that she was initially shocked when she saw the first message, which allegedly stated that her death was imminent and that she should get ready for it. She explained that she did not take the threat seriously at first, but the situation reportedly escalated over time.
According to her account, the ex-boyfriend allegedly continued sending her disturbing content, including graphic videos showing violent attacks such as stabbings and acid-related assaults. She claimed that he accompanied the videos with statements suggesting that similar violence would be carried out against her.
Olorunmaye further alleged that the harassment did not stop at messages, claiming that her former partner made arrangements for an acid attack targeting her. However, she stated that the incident did not go as intended, as the substance was instead allegedly poured on one of her female staff members.
She described the experience as terrifying, noting that the repeated threats and violent imagery left her deeply disturbed. In her words, she received messages warning her directly that she would soon die, along with videos of brutal attacks meant to intimidate her.
Her testimony has sparked concern among viewers, with many calling attention to the dangers of domestic harassment and the need for stronger protection for individuals facing threats after relationship breakdowns. Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the allegations.
