Presidential Spokesman on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has reacted after appearing on CNN to discuss a reported joint counterterrorism operation involving the Nigerian Armed Forces and the United States military.
Bwala said he featured on the international news platform, CNN, where he joined correspondents to analyse the operation which reportedly led to the elimination of a senior ISIS commander identified as Abu-Bilal Al-Minuki.
According to him, the coordinated strike was carried out through intelligence collaboration between Nigerian security forces and the United States Armed Forces, marking what he described as a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to combat insurgency.
Bwala stated that the discussion focused on Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening international security partnerships, particularly in intelligence sharing and strategic military cooperation.
He reiterated that Nigeria remains committed to working closely with global allies to enhance national security and ensure sustained pressure on terrorist networks operating within and outside the country.
“The successful joint operation reflects the importance of intelligence sharing and sustained collaboration between Nigeria and the United States,” he said.
