A man was attacked on his farm; he killed the attacker, and our S’Court deemed it murder—Farotimi

According to our report, Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist Dele Farotimi has decried what he describes as growing persecution of Christians across Nigeria, especially in the northern region. Speaking to Channels Television, Farotimi linked the crisis to a deep-rooted system of injustice that punishes victims instead of protecting them.

He cited the tragic killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto and the case of Sunday Jackson, a farmer in Adamawa who killed his assailant in self-defense after being attacked on his farm—yet the Supreme Court ruled it as murder.

Farotimi warned that such judgments expose the harsh reality of bias and insecurity facing Christians.

He urged Nigerian authorities and the global community to act swiftly to stop the bloodshed and restore justice, stressing that silence now could embolden further atrocities.
