Aloy Ejimakor Backs Nnamdi Kanu’s Court Decision

According to our report, Aloy Ejimakor, one of the former lawyers of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has thrown his support behind Kanu’s recent decision to personally defend himself in court against the Federal Government.

In an interview shared by SYMFONI TV, Ejimakor explained that Kanu’s move is neither strange nor reckless, but a show of courage and conviction. He noted that history is filled with great leaders who chose to speak for themselves while fighting for justice and freedom.

“Many great figures in history—Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela—once defended themselves in court,” Ejimakor said. He also cited Nigeria’s political legend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who took the same step in 1963 with assistance from other lawyers.

Ejimakor stressed that Kanu’s self-representation doesn’t mean he lacks legal advice; rather, he still consults with professionals when necessary. According to him, it’s a strategic choice that shows intelligence, confidence, and personal conviction.
