FC Barcelona is reportedly on the verge of signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, with a loan deal including an option to buy now in its final stages.
According to The Athletic, intermediaries have tabled the offer on behalf of the Catalan club, and Manchester United have agreed to the proposed structure. The move is not yet completed, but sources close to the negotiations confirm it’s approaching the final steps.
New Barça manager Hansi Flick has given his approval for the signing, convinced that the 27-year-old England international aligns perfectly with his tactical blueprint and Barcelona’s current financial capabilities.
Rashford, once one of United’s brightest stars, endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign and is said to be keen on a fresh start, with Barcelona offering a top-level opportunity in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
The deal, expected to include a buy clause exercisable in 2026, would give Barcelona time to evaluate Rashford’s form while managing their ongoing salary cap challenges.
More details are expected soon as medicals and final paperwork are prepared.
