Nigerian comedian, Destalker, has revealed that before fame, he once attempted to do internet fraud but could not continue because he didn’t have the heart for it.
He opened up during an episode of the In-House Gist podcast.
He said the friend who taught him how to do internet fraud back then is now a pastor.
According to him, they used to pay for late-night browsing at cyber cafés, but while his friend was trying to scam people online, he would be busy chatting with old schoolmates on Facebook and eventually fall asleep.
In his words:
“Before I left Enugu, I tried internet fraud with a friend who is now a pastor. We would do night sessions at cyber cafés for N250. While he was looking for who to scam, I would be chatting with my family and friends. I couldn’t do it. I am too kindhearted.
“It was not my destiny. I can’t defraud a person. Today it is a changed story. Nobody can stop me from achieving my goal.”
Destalker also claimed some comedians once tried to block his opportunities in the industry. He said he told them he would succeed without their platforms — and he eventually did.
He added that some of the shows and comedians who tried to stop him are now no longer relevant.
