Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s clarification regarding his recent comments about the Nigerian Army. Wike had earlier addressed claims that he referred to a military officer as a “fool,” insisting that his words were misinterpreted.
Speaking on the matter, Wike said, “Those who are talking and writing junks saying I called the boy a fool should go and find out what happened. What I meant is this: you cannot be carrying out an illegal order. I didn’t say the military is a fool.”
Following Wike’s statement, Melaye took to his official X account on Friday, November 14, 2025, to share his perspective. He remarked on what he viewed as a contradictory denial, writing: “With eleven microphones, he attempted a denial of what he said with no microphone.”
