Nigerian relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing CEO, has taken to social media to express deep excitement and relief following the discharge and acquittal of her partner, Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna, popularly known as IVD, in the highly publicized case surrounding the death of his late wife, Bimbo.
Sharing the update on her Instagram page, Blessing revealed that the court officially discharged and acquitted IVD on 15th December, 2025, marking the end of a long legal battle that spanned over four years. According to her, the period was filled with emotional pain, tears, and what she described as “false narratives” that nearly ruined lives.
In her emotional post, Blessing wrote, “Discharged and acquitted… 15th December 2025… It ended in praise. 4 years of tears and false narratives. Nigeria’s justice system still works. I am proud of my country.” She went on to congratulate her partner, stating, “IVD. You can now have your life back. Congratulations…”
Blessing CEO also used the moment to address toxic relationships and marriages, issuing a strong warning to couples. She advised individuals to walk away from harmful unions before tragedy strikes, saying, “If marriage or relationship no Dey work, pls run ooooooo, run oooooo, don’t wait for anybody to pass. Run.”
Her reaction comes months after reports surfaced in August that IVD was arrested at the airport while attempting to travel to Qatar. Sources had claimed the arrest was linked to an ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, and that he was not permitted to leave Nigeria until the matter was resolved.
At the time, Blessing CEO publicly defended him, insisting there was no court order barring his travel. She accused unnamed individuals of bullying, intimidation, and deliberately frustrating her partner’s life. She also called on the Lagos State Government to intervene, stressing that IVD was innocent.
In a follow-up post back then, the relationship therapist warned that sustained pressure and harassment could push her to “drop her new character” and fully confront those she accused of persecution.
With the court’s latest decision, Blessing CEO maintains that justice has finally prevailed, reinforcing her belief that Nigeria’s legal system still has integrity.
