Tension continues to rise in the Nwoko household as Laila Charani, one of billionaire businessman and politician Ned Nwoko’s wives, has fired back at her co-wife, actress Regina Daniels, following claims that Regina had been financially supporting her.
Taking to her Instagram page, Laila publicly addressed Regina’s remarks, describing them as false and disrespectful. “How dare you say that you ever gave me money? For what exactly?” she wrote.
“I am very contented with the provisions my husband makes for our family. We should show Nigerians our bank accounts to see who is paying money into whose account.”
According to Laila, the mother of two, Regina’s recent outburst was part of a long-standing conflict between the two co-wives.
She accused Regina of being dishonest and reminded her that their husband, Ned Nwoko, does not tolerate vices like drugs, smoking, and alcohol. Laila claimed that the real reason behind Regina’s strained relationship with Ned was his insistence that she put an end to her alleged substance use.
“You know too well that I almost lost my marriage when you introduced me to drugs six years ago,” Laila revealed. “It was my husband’s quick insistence on intervention that rescued me from that dark path.”
The Moroccan beauty further accused Regina of being a negative influence on those around her, including domestic staff and younger girls.
She alleged that Regina had been supplying drugs to workers in their household and even to her younger sister, Destiny. Laila added that she now keeps her own daughters away from Regina, describing the Nollywood actress as a dangerous presence in their lives.
“Please go and sort yourself out. Seek help immediately and continue with your rehabilitation, and leave the other wives out of this,” Laila warned. “I say this not out of anger, but from a place of truth and concern for the level of lies that you are peddling.”
This public exchange comes after weeks of speculation about tension between Ned Nwoko’s wives. Fans noticed that both Regina and Laila had unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling rumors of a major fallout within the polygamous family.
Regina Daniels, who rose to fame as a teenage actress before marrying Nwoko in 2019, has yet to officially respond to Laila’s new accusations.
However, social media users have been quick to take sides, with many calling for both women to settle their differences privately rather than through online confrontations.
As of press time, Ned Nwoko has not commented on the controversy surrounding his wives.
