According to our report, PDP chieftain Chief Bode George has expressed confidence in the party’s ability to recover from recent defections, comparing its resilience to an eagle that renews its feathers before soaring higher.
George emphasized that the PDP’s strong foundation, likened to an Iroko tree, ensures it can withstand political storms. He noted that departures of some governors and members are part of the natural political process and do not weaken the party’s core values.
Recalling past support, George said, “Even former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, after God, I was the one who stood and fought for him. Politics is like a police station—you walk in and walk out.” He urged members to focus on the party’s ideals and rebuilding a stronger PDP.
