Lauretta Onochie, a prominent member of the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet recently reacted after former secretary to the federal government, Boss Mustapha made claims that contrary to public opinions, Muhammadu Buhari’s popularity won him the presidency. According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle, she pointed out that every falsehood has an expiration date.The former secretary to the federal government, Boss Mustapha caused a massive stir after he made a mind-blowing revelation regarding the circumstances surrounding the emergence of former president Muhammadu Buhari.

The comments which were made during a book launch titled, “According to the President” in the federal capital territory, Abuja on Wednesday stirred public debate as a well hidden secret had be controversially unearthed.

Reacting, Lauretta Onochie, a prominent member of the former president Muhammadu Buhari led administration in a recent statement which was shared on her official X handle, commended Boss Mustapha for the revelations.

According to the former special adviser, every falsehood has an expiration date and yesterday being Wednesday July 9th, the lie that had been propagated against the former president had expired.

In her concluding remarks, she pointed out that president Tinubu never supported Muhammadu Buhari’s emergence as a candidate in 2014.

The recent counter statements from the former special adviser however, threw wide open yet another debate regarding the power dynamics of the Nigerian political class.

“Every lie has an expiry date. Yesterday, the lie that BAT made Buhari president, expired. Thank you, Boss Mustapha, for puncturing the lies of those unsuccessfully trying to rewrite history….” She wrote.
