Ex-Premier League and England star Ruben Loftus-Cheek suffers broken jaw and loses teeth after horror collision during football match (picturesvideo)
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has spoken out after sustaining a serious facial injury while featuring for AC Milan in a Serie A encounter.
The midfielder was taken to hospital on Sunday following a heavy collision that left him bloodied on the pitch. He was fitted with a neck brace and stretchered off after clashing with Parma goalkeeper Edoardo during Milan’s 1-0 defeat.
The incident occurred just minutes into the match when Loftus-Cheek contested a ball inside the area and went down under the challenge. Medical personnel attended to him for several minutes before he was carried off for further evaluation.
Reports indicate that the 30-year-old suffered a fractured jaw and lost multiple teeth in the impact. He is now expected to spend some time on the sidelines as he begins his recovery process.

In a message shared on social media hours later, Loftus-Cheek remained positive despite the ordeal.
“It was a tough blow, but the worst is behind me,” he wrote. “A heartfelt thanks to all the medical staff for their professionalism and care.
“To the fans, thank you for the overwhelming support. I’ve read your messages and they’ve given me strength.
“And to my team-mates — we are more than a team, we are family. Now we move forward together, strong and united.”
He also posted images appearing to show before-and-after treatment, including one photo revealing missing teeth and another following corrective surgery.
Loftus-Cheek was substituted after just 11 minutes. To compound matters, Milan fell to defeat after Mariano Troilo netted the decisive goal with 10 minutes remaining.
